Jenny studied at Queens University Belfast, Canterbury School of Architecture and the Architectural Association. Prior to establishing Carter Fleming in 2023, Jenny was a founding director of Cuozzo Fleming Architects for nine years. Before this, she worked at several small practices and contractors across the UK and Ireland, giving her a rich understanding of construction and project management from the viewpoint of both the architect and the contractor, which is clear in her firm but fair and considered working practices, in particular when on site.
She has been a visiting tutor and lecturer at the University of Central Lancashire and has lectured and critiqued at the Bartlett, Central St Martin’s, University of Brighton, London Met and the University for the Creative Arts. Fun experiences, with lovely people, but building & making tangible things happen is more her bag…
And so, Jenny launched Carter Fleming in 2023 - a fresh vehicle for her multi-disciplinary loves that, naturally, are very firmly rooted within architecture, but that now encompass interiors and product design.
Jenny is passionate about 1960’s and 70’s television and film, fashion and graphic design, and is easily derailed into a conversation about any of the above!
She is a qualified Architect and qualified CDM Principal Designer, so ultimately, she will deliver for you, as her many clients over the past 15 years will agree.
We like a challenge
Under her previous practice, Jenny has engaged and successfully worked on numerous highly constrained sites - that is her speciality. Think; dog with a bone - that’s your girl.
We deal with sites varying from urban and rural, within AONBs, Greenbelt, Ancient Woodlands, Conservation Areas, Employment Priority Areas, and on numerous Listed Buildings including those on the Heritage At Risk register.
We have planning and construction experience across all London Boroughs, throughout the south east, and in Ireland, but relish working in new places whenever the opportunity arises…. a new fight is always refreshing!
